First of all, I really appreciated all your warm help and great personal attention, as well as leading our group of "crazy guys" (no small job)!!! I know many of the guys on the tour, including me said you were so sweet, Olga... I think the majority of us guys wanted secretly to marry you!!
As for the Odessa/Kherson tour..... Overall, I had probably the greatest time of my entire life!!! First, the information at the orientation meeting was very helpfu, the dinner that night at the Steak House was a nice touch, because it helped us all get to know each other a little better, and reduce the stress and nervousness I think many of us felt before our first big Social.
I think the Socials were the best part of the tour... obviously they were the main reason we were there!!! The first two were well organized, and I met more ladies there then I ever thought I would... I was approached by at least five ladies or an interpreter on behalf of a lady who wanted to meet me, dance with me, or talk!! This would never happen in my home City in the U.S. But in Ukraine, I really felt like I was "in demand" and was appealing to several ladies. The ladies were beautiful, friendly and very approachable. It was so easy to ask any of them to dance, get a phone number or set up a date.... I really never got turned down by anybody.
I thought the help I received at the Hospitality Room was beyond compare. I never had trouble getting a phone number, information on any of the ladies, and there was always someone available to answer questions, go to our rooms to call some ladies, or an interpreter when needed. You, Irina and Karina were outstanding, and I really found all three of you to be very accommodating, friendly and helpful in any of my requests. I felt like I had three good friends helping me out in the most important search of my life!!! This, even though there were so many of us that needed your help, often at the same time.
I really enjoyed the little get-togethers Derek organized. The dinners and so on in the evenings or afternoons. It was nice to see you at some of these, because I think we all felt that you should have some fun too like the rest of us, since you had such a responsible and serious job during the day and the Socials. I felt like I was part of a group of real friends... the night life in Odessa was simply awesome... as you know I really like to dance, though it was really a secondary benefit of the tour.. I really enjoyed it a lot!!! I miss Odessa already, and I wish I could spend a year there. |
